What the tools provide

QuiltMetrix estimates fabric quantities from the values you enter. Results are estimates, not a guarantee of suitability or an instruction to buy or cut a particular amount. Diagrams are schematic. The tools do not replace a pattern, a physical measurement or your quilter’s requirements.

Check before buying or cutting

Use the actual usable fabric width, check the measurement units and read the assumptions for your selected tool. Allow separately for shrinkage, print matching, directional fabric and cutting mistakes. You are responsible for supplying accurate inputs and deciding whether the suggested layout fits your project.

Limitations and responsibility

We aim to provide accurate calculations and clear explanations, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or error-free results. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, incorrect inputs, disregard of the stated assumptions or unauthorised modifications to the tools.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or injury. Your mandatory consumer and other statutory rights remain unaffected.

Permitted use

You may use these tools for personal projects and internal business planning. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls or misrepresent an estimate as a verified professional assessment. Permissions for website materials are explained in the intellectual property notice.

Changes and saved plans

Calculations and explanations may be corrected or updated. Recheck older plans against the current assumptions before using them. Saved measurements remain in your browser; see the privacy notice for deletion controls.
